A Day in the Museum (Art in Island Adventure)
I have been seeing pictures and the place Art in Island has been so famous lately.
I can't believe my eyes the first time I saw a shot taken from this place, though I know 3D Museum has been around for quite sometime now, however I was not aware that we have one here in the Philippines. Art in island is a 3D art museum in the Philippines and the largest of its kind in Asia. It is located on 175 15th Ave., Brgy. Socorro, Cubao, Quezon City
Imagine my euphoria knowing that I didn't need to travel to Korea and spend tons of money just to experience a similar place called Trick Eye Museum (트릭아이미술관). Art In Island is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, 9:30am to 9:30pm and close on Mondays but open on holidays.
.
Upon knowing this, I contacted my friends and asked them over to check this awesome place.
My friends and I would come from different places in Manila. One would come from Pasig and the other one from Marikina - I'm currently staying near Katipunan. We decided to meet up at starbucks in Gateway Cubao, from there we took the exit door along Gen.Roxas ave.We just walked going to Gen. Romulo ave. which is just at the back of the Araneta Centre Bus Station. We entered Art In Island through their back entrance located in Cubao Expo (former Marikina Shoe Expo).
It was weekend when we went there so there was a queuing in front of the ticket-stall. Tickets for adults is P500.00 and P400.00 for students, senior citizens and PWDs. Don’t forget to bring your ID to avail the discount. Children below 3 feet are FREE of charge. They have also this awesome promot - All birthday celebrants’ entrance fee are FREE on the day of their birthday, a day before and a day after. You Just have to bring your birth certificate or any valid ID with your birth date.
Tripod or similar objects are not allowed inside so better go there atleast in pair if you wanna enjoy the 3D paintings. They will also ask you to deposit your shoes, so don't forget to wear nice socks. :) There maybe also alot of people having there pose in a single painting just be patient and you'll get your turn. If suddenly you get hungry or exhausted you may take a break in their cafeteria located inside the museum.
